DUI
stays out front DUI Racing keeps cranking out good lineups week
after week. After this week's race, DUI has now been on the top of the
league for five weeks. That's a nice feeling especially considering the
season is quickly getting closer to the finish. Even better, #2 Hot Rod
Wildcat can't keep up and is slowly slipping further back from the leader.
Even, even better, #3 spot is now 76 points back when it was just 44 points last
week. A nice cushion always puts the leader at ease, as long as they don't
get too comfortable! When you're on top, everyone's gunning for you.
Separation
Sunday Monday! What happened to #3? Things
seemed fairly close at the top, but after this week there is a big jump in
points distance between #2 and #3. Interesting enough, it wasn't much
different last year at this point in the season, with the big jump being between
#3 and #4. Even more interesting, two years ago the big difference was
between #4 and #5.
Will
history repeat itself? #2 has won the league
C'est la vie
As life has it, there always seems to be those teams that get off to a rocky
start, and then things go downhill from there. Holdem42 and Racin Rusty
have had some tough luck this year and have now missed quite a few consecutive
races, putting them out of contention for gaining any further positions.
Originally, I set the rule that after 3 missed races you were out, but I
rescinded that rule because with some amazing lineups you could possibly
still be competitive in the league, even if you weren't contending for the
championship. So, as it is now, I wait until it is not mathematically
possible for a team to advance a position to give them a DNF on the
season. With only 16 races left to go, that time has come for Holdem42 and
Racin Rusty. We bid them adieu and hope to see them back next season with
a little better luck.
Race On!
