Race
Summary:
The dirty duck cannot be taken down apparently. At least not so far. Dirty Duck remains the top dog for the fourth week in a row, and put a few more car lengths between him and 4U2Envy in the season standings. We also have a new #3 as race junky knocks off TBills this week. The top 5 are getting to know each other quite well, but LOOK OUT!!! I don't know what has gotten into The Crew, but that team has been heads above the rest of the league with excellent lineups the past couple races. Careful, or Kasey Kahne / Dale Jarrett / and other struggling teams may be out to steal your mojo. Georgia was kinder to Texas than California was, moving up into 6th place. Some of the teams mired out of the top 10 made some significant jumps in the season standings, including Spanky who moved into the top 10, McCurdy Racing up 5 spots, and both Hotrod and VILME made nice gains 6 positions ahead of where they were last week. Alas, as I've said before, in order for some to move up... others must fall! No one knows this better than Off Constantly, who seems to be holding true to the team's namesake, falling 7 spots this race, 16 spots in the last two races, and 21 spots in the past three races. That's okay, we at the bottom love you! Welcome! :) A few other teams on the slide are racinboys and Speed Junkie, who seem to be attempting to keep pace with Off Constantly. C'mon down! The bottom 10 loves company! Smoke20 felt the sting of Kyle Busch's misfortune the hardest, dropping out of the top 10. My special congrats to both Budman and Queen B, turning in tying 4th place race rosters... going to show that things aren't always slack at the bottom of the league!
Team
Recognition:
Sorry,
these awards aren't worth anything but bragging rights!
The GOLD
Helmet this week it goes out to The Crew. Excellent strategy or dumb luck,
The Crew has been turning in dominating lineups. Keep that up and we'll
have a new challenger at the top of the league very soon!
The SILVER
Steering Wheel Award goes to 4U2Envy and dirty duck. Since no one selected
Juan, I'll give it to ya for picking Bowyer. After the race started I
printed off the team lineups and had a raised eyebrow with the Bowyer selection,
but you guys proved you knew what you were doing! Well, except for the
Kyle Busch pick by 4U2Envy...
The BRONZE
Burnout Award goes to... Jimmie Johnson. Johnson and the 48 team have been
on fire lately and even if you don't like them, you can't argue with success on
the track. I think Johnson was an easy pick this race, and most teams had
him in their roster. ...he did have a sweet burnout, too!
The GOLDEN
Dipstick Award goes the aforementioned nose-divers: Off Constantly, racinboys,
& Speed Junkie. It's team lineups like yours that give us
bottom-feeders hope for the future! Honorable mention goes to Budman, who
continues to have a strangle-hold on last place despite a 27 point, 4th place
roster.
