Race Summary:

Intimidating Lineup  The Intimidator knocks out a 34 point lineup, earning the bragging rights at the top this week.  Johnson, Kahne, & Edwards pulled out a top 10, and Biffle at 22.  The Intimidator was one of MANY teams this week with 3 drivers inside the top 10, and one outside.  The biggest difference: 22 is better than 43... Just ask Shake N Bake racing.  SNB had 3 drivers inside the top 6, and then the misfortune of Mark Martin.  Several other teams succumbed to the perils of unfortunate drivers such as Mark Martin, Tony Stewart, & Dale Jr.

Mild to Wild  Hot Rod Wildcat continues to climb in the season standings, although it's at a painfully slow rate.  HRW can't exactly take much credit this week for gaining one spot... first of all The Tyler Tandem only lost the position by one point, and second of all, TTT had Mark Martin in this week's lineup which helped HRW tremendously.  Enjoy it while you can, 1 point probably won't last long!   Here are some of the tight races throughout the field...

#2 Hot Rod Wildcat & #3 The Tyler Tandem - 1 point
#6 Smoke20 & #7 Shake N Bake Racing - 4 points
#9 Cosmo & #10 Whitetrash - tied!
#13 Hotrod / #14 Off Constantly / #15 Speedracer / #16 The Crew - 6 points with #14 & #15 tied
#20 McCurdy Racing & #21 TBills - tied!
#23 Texas Bitch & #24 Queen B - 1 point

Lots of close racing as we get down to the final laps!

Mildness to Wildness  Last week, the top 7 were locked in place.  This week, all heck is breaking loose!  Only one position stayed the same in the top 13... and that was 1st place!  And only 3 positions changed in the top 24.  Oh, and if you thought that it's too late in the season to gain much, check out the ups and downs!  Hotrod - up 6!  Brickman - up 4!  Those are big jumps late in the year, and we have close enough competition in most of the spots that things can happen quickly!

Smoke Screen   Smoke20 got caught in their own smoke screen this week.  In their lineup, you'll find a race winning pick with Johnson... but that's about it.  Smoke20 suffered the fate of Martin, Stewart, & Dale Jr.  Not only does that drop Smoke20 down two spots and out of the top five, but it also puts 36 points between 5th place.

Houston, we have a problem   Rocketman was in contention for a top 10 finish, and had been involved in quite the heated battle with Cosmo for the #10 spot the past few weeks.  However, something must have misfired this week as a DNF drops the rocket to 18th position.  That's gotta hurt this late in the season.

3 to go...  There are just three races left in this year's fantasy league!  Dirty Duck continues to stretch his lead over... pretty much everyone.  The duck would really have to let the wheels fall off to lose this one.  Second and third place now need about 25 points PER RACE to catch the duck.  Behind the duck, things are getting dicey.  Just check out the little chart above telling about the points-spread between positions.  If we continue to have popular drivers go down in races, there's a good chance the final season standings will not resemble this week's standings at all!  Choose your drivers carefully - they could make or break you at this point.  Maybe find a driver that's in the same boat as you are in the season standings... if you've got nothing to lose, find a driver with the same attitude and you might both end up on top!  If you're protecting your position, maybe find a driver that's doing the same and racing more conservative.

Remember... it's not always how good your lineup is, but how bad your competition's lineup finishes!

Good luck!
