Race
Summary:
Off is
On! Off Constantly was on target this week with a first place 29 point
roster. The lineup was rewarded in the season standings as Off moved up 3 spots
and into the top 15. KB GB Racing is right on Off's heels, though, with a 33
point lineup, also moving up 3 spots into the top 15. Only 7 points separate
this duo.
Similar 7
With just 4 races to go, the top 7 has settled down... at least
for this week. There were no changes in the top 7 positions in the season
standings, but next week might be a different story.
Hot Rod Wildcat closed to within 6 points of The Tyler Tandem, and JTC & The Boyz closed
to within 1 point of trentonk. So, while no one moved spots, there seem to be a few
that are on the move to improve. Can they get 'er done?
Too
Little, Too Late? The Tyler Tandem closed the gap on dirty duck to 61 points,
but is it too late to make a run for the championship? With four races left,
TTT needs to gain over 15 points per race on average to be a threat to the duck.
Hot Rod Wildcat is even farther back at 67 points. For either of these two, a run at
first MAY be possible, but it's going to take some bad luck from the duck.
Time is running short... everyone better bring their A-game the next four races.
Extra-Terrestrial
Tango Rocketman and Cosmo are battling in their own little
world, as once again they swap places in and out side of the top 10. This
week the Rocket fell from the Cosmosphere, but only by 4 points. Who will
prevail? Will Rocketman get "more power" and warp himself
permanently into the top 10, or will Cosmo keep his place in the stars of the
top 10? Both phasers are set to "STUN". Tune in next
week...
Season
Strategy What's your lineup strategy at this point in the season?
Here's a quick suggestion if you're on the outside of the top 10:
It's a perfect time to take a hard look at the wins, top 5's, and top 10's.
These are all fairly close right now... no one has just run off from the rest
of the league in these categories. If you don't stand much to gain (or lose) in the
season standings, picking three excellent drivers, no matter what the cost, and a fourth clean-up
driver will give you the best chance at making some gains in the categories.
With each category worth $55 to the winner, that's a better payoff than 6th
place through 10th. And it may be easier to make up 5 points in the top 5
category than making up 60-70 points in the season standings. Just some thoughts
for those of you who could be in serious contention for the best in categories.
Of course, the problem always stays the same though... what are those best three
drivers????
Good luck
to everyone as we wind down to the final laps!
